In 2014, the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Lambda Nu Omega chapter, established a foundation - Lake County P.E.A.R.L.S., INC. - Partners to Empower, Advance & amp; Restore through Leadership & Service (LCP). We strive to make positive impacts by offering educational and service programs for men, women, and children through this nonprofit organization.

LCP has built on the traditions that Lambda Nu Omega Chapter started in Lake County, IL – we serve and educate our community. Some of our signature fundraising events include the Ebony Fashion Fair fashion show, AKA Bowl, various raffles and Hats and Heels, which enabled us to award thousands of dollars in scholarships to area high school graduates. In concert with our corporate initiatives, we’ve also worked hard to feed and clothe the hungry, locally and internationally, advance fiscal knowledge, improve our environment, advocate for social justice, and much more.

Understanding the importance of connecting well with our communities, we’ve frequently partnered with other philanthropic organizations and have celebrated community leaders who share our educational, healthcare, community and entrepreneurial visions.
